Time flies when you’re fighting the good fight. It feels like only yesterday we opened our doors with a simple but ambitious goal: to provide the Quad Cities with the kind of legal representation we would want for our own families—professional but not stuffy, technologically advanced, and deeply compassionate.

Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the three-year anniversary of Zimmerle Law.

When we launched this firm, we knew that the best personal injury and workers' compensation attorneys had more than just a deep knowledge of Illinois and Iowa statutes. They have a human touch. Whether we are visiting a client in a rehabilitation center, navigating a complex nursing home neglect case, or ensuring a worker gets their fair due after an on-the-job injury, our focus has always been on the person behind the file.

A Year of Momentum and Milestones

While the last three years have been a journey of growth, this past year, in particular, has been one for the record books. We’ve been busy advocating for our clients across the river and throughout the region.

Our firm has added a texting feature for our clients, so we can be in better touch at their convenience. We've expanded in both physical layout and manpower since we opened.

We gave back to our community during Thanksgiving and donated non-perishable food to the River Bend Food Bank in Davenport, Iowa.

We mentored our first summer intern, a Junior from Augustana College, and immersed her in the process of taking a case to trial and invited her to help prepare and attend a week long medical malpractice trial to gain helpful experience for her upcoming senior year college classes and applying to law schools.

We sponsored several things in our community, including Moline Little League Softball, Moline High School Softball, the Moline Music Program, Moline Cheerleading and others. Of course, we're not limited to Moline - if you know of an organization that could use some help, we're always open to listening.

Why We Hope People Choose Us

We don't really like to brag about ourselves, but...

Well, maybe we do... a little. But we just want the right people to find us when they need us.

At Zimmerle Law, we limit our practice to injury cases so we can stay on the cutting edge of trial presentation and medical-legal trends. We’ve embraced technology to make the legal process as seamless as possible for our clients—from virtual visits to efficient digital communication—because we know that when you’re recovering from an injury, the last thing you need is a "lawyerly" headache.

As we look back on these first three years, we are reminded that our success is measured by the peace of mind we provide to our clients. We aren't just a law firm in Moline; we are your neighbors, your advocates, and your partners in seeking justice.

What Kinds of People We Help

Rather than throwing out big settlement numbers ($762,500, $450,000, $425,000, $389,000... etc - all real, but who cares) we thought it might be nice to look at the types of cases and types of people who have found us over the past 3 years. Some highlights:

Personal Injury

  • Bus driver who was hit by a semi

  • Single mother who tripped on a hidden hole at her apartment complex

  • College student who needed abdominal surgery after she was hit by a driver who ran a stop sign

  • Father and son who had a garbage truck back into them on their way to school

  • $150,000 for a woman whose case was dropped by her old attorney (OK, so I will throw out some settlement numbers - oh well)

  • A woman who broke her back on dangerous steps

  • A child who was injured while unsupervised on a dangerous trampoline

  • Someone who was hit by a car while crossing Avenue of the Cities in Moline

  • A door dash driver who was bit by a dog

Workers Compensation

  • Woman with a shoulder injury with 10+ years of medical treatment - defense blamed it on a car accident from the 1990s

  • Laborer whose back injury was so bad his leg needed to be amputated

  • Multiple police officers with physical and/or mental injuries on the job

  • A man who was hit by a car in the parking lot on the way to work

  • Many people who developed carpal tunnel at work

  • A carpenter who was knocked off of a ladder when something fell on his head

Nursing Home/Medical Malpractice

(these are typically confidential, so we can't release a lot - but we routinely handle cases like these):

  • Nursing home falls/drops

  • Nursing home pressure ulcers

  • Nursing home sepsis/infection cases

What Our Clients Have Said About Us

(All from real online and public reviews)

  • "I can't say how much I appreciate Howard and Lisa... from our very first visit I felt such relief" - CT

  • "I can't express how wonderful my attorney Howard and his paralegal Lisa are... they went above and beyond even getting me more $ than we initially agreed to" - NC

  • "a pleasure to work with! We were able to do all that was needed online and without a drive to the QCA... in a short time we got a settlement that was above our expectations" -WG

  • "Having only bad experiences with other lawyers... it was so good to have a respectable and honest attorney fighting in my corner" - KM

  • "He always answered my calls and put 100% effort into my case" - CK

  • "It felt like they really cared about my progress and case" - WH

I can't tell you how much I appreciate hearing that!
